First things first

Before you decide on having a baby… You really should consider the following..

1. Do you have a job? Will you quit after the baby is born? If you have a job, then that’s great! If you are planning on quitting it to take care of the baby then having a a baby is not for you at all. Let me explain. If you need to go to work everyday, you can at least take some time off from the baby’s scream. When you boss calls you, you may tell him you are busy. But when your baby calls you, you must attend to his need right away. Trust me, taking care of the baby is much harder than your job. If you don’t like your boss, you can quit. But you can’t quit the baby.

2. Are your parents able to take care of the baby for you? There are two side to this. First, your parents are retired and loves to take care of their grandchild. That way, you will get some me time or time off from the kid. It’s a good thing! Second, is your wife willing to let YOUR parents take care of the kid? If not, forget it! No kids for you! You will most likely constantly have arguments with your parents and your wife.

3. Do you like quite time? Do you like having time alone? If you do, babies are not for you. After the baby is born, your life will be filled with baby’s noise and scream. There are no way out. The only time in the day of being alone is when the baby is asleep, at which you can’t watch a movie nor listen to music as it will wake the baby up and then you are doomed.

4. Do you like to travel? Traveling with babies are nearly impossible. There are people that tells you “its okay, I have seen babies flying on airplane before. And its fine.” They are lying. There are so much to prepare for when traveling with babies. Formula, iPad, toys, food…and more. I sure you have seen screaming babies on board. Imagine its your baby, then you will understand. I used to enjoy air travel, but now, its like going to hell just thinking about it.

5. Are you working from home? If you are, then consider renting an office space if you must have kids. You will never get your work done having kids at home. You must be 100% isolated from them when working. I know a father who love his daughter, he admitted that having the baby at home can never get work done.
